Fanny Kondowe is a strategic communication professional and media practitioner from Malawi with more than 15 years of experience in broadcasting, public relations, content development, and audience engagement. She began her career at Radio ABC in 2009 as a presenter and producer before advancing to Head of Programs, where she leads programming strategy, mentors emerging broadcaster, and oversees the development of engaging media content that informs, educates, and inspires diverse audiences. Fanny recently completed a Master of Arts in Strategic Communication and Public Relations at Sacred Heart University, where she served as a Graduate Assistant supporting communication initiatives, student engagement, and academic outreach. During her graduate assistantship, she launched, produced, and hosted the Amplify PR podcast, overseeing its branding, content strategy, guest collaboration, production, and promotion. She also led the planning and execution of the State of the Industry: PR Trends and Opportunities event, strengthening program visibility and stakeholder engagement. Her expertise includes strategic communication planning, public relations writing, media relations, podcast production, digital storytelling, audience analysis, public speaking, event coordination, and multimedia content creation. She is proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, Hootsuite, Wix, Google Workspace, Trello, Canva, and Wix Creative Editor. Fanny is passionate about using communication to amplify voices, build meaningful relationships, and inspire positive social change. Her career goal is to lead strategic communication and public relations initiatives that strengthen organizations, engage communities, and create lasting impact.
